The valley was cloaked in fog yesterday as i decided to walk to the Nine Ladies stone circle up on the ridge opposite our cottage
the fog was swirling around the river as i set off
a little further up the river i spotted the swan couple with their very large cygnets
after crossing the river and starting to walk up the hill i noticed how the moisture from the fog had covered and highlighted where all these spiders webs were, even further up the gorse bushes had a similar mantle
a new sign had been erected on the track before these buildings and i had never realised that this is an old coaching house perched high up on the valley side
i was hoping the Nine Ladies might have been in the sunshine but the fog was still quite thick when i reached the circle
on my way down these 2 chickens take an interest in my progress as i pass through a farm gate. The one on the right has a most intriguing haircut - - -

double figures this morning at 10.1c just now but still feeling a little on the cool side out and about
the weathercam shows quite a cloudy aspect but there are a few breaks directly overhead.
The forecast is for a few sunny periods and with the wind strengthening this p.m.
