The Express try's to convince me that "energy" is cheap by indicating that there's going to be a £300 increase as the "cheap rates" are coming to an end - - - it was only in April this year that we were being told how cheap our energy was? - - - another bit of belt tightening i suppose - - -

Here's a good explanation of what El Nino is and how it works there is still speculation that we will be affected this winter by extremely low temperatures, as usual there are significant "maybe's" alongside any predictions in the text - - -

Yesterday was a rather wet day and so the morning walks were both peppered with rain, Sally got a soaking and for mine the rain just about stopped but everywhere was just soggy
still raining a little as i make my way up to the hills
the new pond looks to have been drained a little and there's a mini digger just out of view at the far end of it
a very soggy misty forest path
and the view West from the golf course shows the clouds rolling along, it had stopped raining by now though
a similarly gloomy pic down to the South
the weather did look to be clearing a little as i strolled down the river path
all to no avail because about 15 minutes after this pic the day descended into a light rain spectacle - - -
========================================
Weather now
a mild 10.5c this morning
the weathercam shows a cloudy grey sky and a light rain is falling. Forecasters are speculating that the rain will be with us for the day
