More pension misery & mists of Autumn fruitfulness in the valley this morning

The main story on the front page of the Express is about how much longer people are expected to have to work to get a half decent pension.  Even the flat rate of OAP at the moment of £151.25 a week takes a private pot of £273k according to the text.  The jet crash also figures and its looking like there will be tighter regulations on what can be done and where at air shows - - - on a brighter note we win the ashes and Jennifer Ennis wins gold at the Beijing games in the heptathlon - - - and Usain Bolt wins in a star studded line up for the 100m's - - -
=====================
The "health police" are to the fore in this story telling "us wrinkly's" that "its easy to slip into drinking half a bottle of wine per night without realising that it can increase the chance of cancer and take years off your life" - - - what i want to know is who is having the other half of "my bottle!"  - - -
==========================
its my last day at my "Alternative Activity" today before my hand Op which will mean having days off recuperating until my next "Activity" series starting 17th October! - - -
============================
A cool 11.6c this morning but quite a bit of humidity to make it sticky
very much "mist of Autumn fruitfulness" on the weathercam this morning with visibility down to a couple of hundred metres
