Once again the weather was kind yesterday so it was time to make some firewood
it was going to be a hard task to sort out the trunk
cutting off the rounds is the easy bit
then its a case of smashing off the chunks and using the smaller maul to make them into firewood sized pieces
these are all ready for today the rest of the trunk is where the large branches emerge from it and will need some careful sawing first, if the grain doesn't all run parallel its a tough call to split even a small piece
As i leave for the day Napkin is hoping for a ginger biscuit
