3 Chinese teachers have spent 4 weeks teaching in a Hampshire school and now brand the pupils Rude , Bone Idle and Cosseted by the Welfare State - - - in the text of the article one of the teachers mentions that we have multiple syllabuses to cope with kids varying abilities, in China she says "We have one syllabus, one standard, you survive or you die, its up to you.  - - -

It was time yesterday to move on to the next tree on my summer logging programme so i enlisted Sally's help along with Boris
we took along the roll of plastic and placed a piece over the completed end of this years pile
the tree we are after is the one directly behind the bonfire and i am removing s wild rose which was around its base
because it was leaning my idea was to saw off the limbs but in the end we went for a conventional felling
with a samll cheese wedge cut out i went on to do a couple of side cuts then the final back cut, the danger was with the trunk splitting and performing a barbers chair similar to one of the last group i felled
after some tentative cutting it finally gave up the ghost
the idea had been to cut off the limbs and drag the various bits out onto the track but even with the limbs off the huge trunk proved to be too big for Boris to handle especially on the uneven surface.  So its going to be a case of sawing it up into smaller bits in situ.
