yesterday I blogged about "2014 was the hottest year on record" etc etc etc Today we are being told Temperatures could plunge to an all winter low
Predictions are that Scotland could get temps as low as -15c but its unlikely to get anywhere near that locally - - -
12% appears to be a popular figure this morning with Walesonline saying welsh house prices will rise by 12% this year, the guardian claims that a wind-farm nearby will reduce the price of your house by 12%, while the Express tells us "Litter" will reduce the value by a similar amount - - -
It was time for a walk yesterday and Sally joined me for the first bit of the route to the Nine Ladies stone circle up on the top of the hill visible from our house.
A mixture of bright and cloudy as I start the ascent
the top comes into sight
the weak winter sun has no effect on the frost at the 1000ft summit of the walk
on the way back down the view North is quite clear
12 years ago, what used to be our local pub had a hand painted sign similar to this one which in a re-furb was replaced by a hideous 3 foot square piece of wood bearing only the name of the pub. The latest re-furb has at least given the place a bit of its lovely old dignity back- - - Grouse and claret is a trout fly by the way - - -
quite close to home but still by the river i noticed this line of white posts, some of the nearby trees also had also been marked. I wondered if it had anything to do with the previously blogged "cycle track". I read in one of our free papers that as long as the planning applications are approved "work will start as soon as possible" - - -
still quite cold out even though its almost completely light now - - -
the dusting of snow is just visible on the weathercam - - -
LM has a second helping of the "warm breakfast option" a few minutes ago - - -
Enjoy the day
