A cold night for the UK & a round robin walk

Temperature dips to -11c on coldest night of winter says the headline although the pic at left indicated -5c for our area the current temp of -2.9c is the lowest its been all night - - -

My favourite newspaper for the ridiculous headline is at it again!  If you google the headline you will see the newspaper carried the same headline, albeit with the word "single" in front on the 8th Feb 2013 - - -

I had a stroll yesterday around my "Round Robin" walk, its a 40 minute jaunt with very little climb i have blogged the pics many times but here it is again in its winter mantle
Starting by the River Derwent
heading North and as the river curls NW the sun hits the River bank
Peak Tor in its sunny aspect
Turning East and heading uphill now with a view North over Chatsworth up to Froggatt Edge
A view "from the top" looking West over the village of Rowsley and up the A6 towards Bakewell.  A short traverse and a descent to home - - -
The stats show a pretty cool start this morning.  The systems habit of losing the data from the transmitter is acting up again so it might be just a Bar. display when we are away on hols soon - - -
A short flurry of snow happened not long ago but the forecast indicates that we might not get any more until dark - - - although a slightly soggy cat just coming back in has alerted me to another little flurry of snow! - - -
Enjoy the day
