The promise of a Siberian icy blast from the newspapers recently accompanied by snow have been  watered down in this story from the Metro.  A Met O spokesperson indicates while it will be cold and wet for the next week it will be sleet and rain rather than any accumulations of snow that will predominate - - -

My intentions of bringing down next winters firewood look to be dashed  again then with the weather from the story above
