yesterdays promised rain almost failed to materialise. We had a minute or so of a very light shower around 10:30 and that was it. Todays radar picture looks it might not bother us once again.
With the Temp just scraping above double figures its feeling pretty cool out just now. It will soon warm up to a max of 18 to 20c today
the weathercam is looking at an almost clear sky and forecasters are pointing towards a dry day but with cloud increasing mid afternoon to evening.

Having swapped the birdfeeder cam to an IP type camera in wifi mode i thought it would be a good idea yesterday to put it onto a lan cable to take some pressure off the network. I switched off the wifi and rebooted it then connected the lan cable. OOoops! the lan cable connector in the camera isn't working so i now have a less than useless model. The camera in theory will still work and will be waiting to be told what network to go to but the lan cable in effect is the door into the machine to give it instructions. It could just be damp so i'll play around with it another time
I connected up another one i have after first making sure the lan cable connector worked!!

the Metro takes alook at the meeting with a bi-line of "Anyone got a bright idea?"
The paper also covers a story about 300+ reindeer killed by lightening in Norway
as well as a similar story involving cows in Texas
