Not Cricket! down under. & Time to move the greenhouse

Cricket - The Ashes 2013-14 - Fifth Test - Australia v England

So the final test has been played Down Under and England have been "thrashed"  5 - 0 in the series and lose the ashes.  So we are ready for the witch hunt and the resignations. There will be many column inches used to tell us all why it happened etc etc etc.  I rather like the quote in the story, "When England arrived they were over confident and they underestimated how angry and determined Australia was going to be".  - - - still s'only a game!

Damage caused by high tides in AberystwythOur wet and windy weather continues to make the news on the back of the reports of deaths in the US snowstorms.
The pic at left is of Aberystwyth sea front which looks almost destroyed by the super high tides.
Other coverage concentrates on people risking their lives and in some cases the lives of their children as they are watching the waves by sea walls etc.  The back drop to this of course is the ever growing number of rescues and deaths from being swept away by the tide!

Back down under there's been a huge backlash to Western Australia's idea to "cull" large sharks.  The seas "delicate eco system" appears to be one of the main concerns of the protesters.  Authorities retort that its not a cull but is focussing on areas where shark attacks have occurred.  - - -

As ideas go this one has to be a bit extreme
Bizarre or brilliant: Would you buy this mug?A mug that's a hand warmer as well.  The makers claim both the tea and hands stay warm but at £36 a throw i cant see them flying off the shelves - - -

Car crashes upside down into collision repair shop The drunk driver of this car in Texas parked it in the right place even though its upside down.  The building is an auto crash repair shop! - - -

Closer to home.
As part of our "ambitious cunning plan" for decking at the top of the garden the small greenhouse up there has to be moved
The idea is to move it without taking it apart from its present location back to a position up against the fence with the greenhouse peak in line with the fencepost in the foreground of the pic here.
To anyone viewing the birdfeeder webcam or weather cam they will be offline for most of this morning during the move!

Enjoy the day
