Britain best place in the world? & Chip and pin catflap fitted

"Plenty to be proud of" says the text under this pic in the article from the Mail
The pic along with a bewildering array of graphs and facts and figures make Britain one of the best places in the world.  The "survey", cant you make a survey say anything you want?  lists 35 countries where the data comes from and makes out that Britain ranks "above average" for Personal Security, "That hoary old chestnut", Job Satisfaction and earnings.  Methinks the writer Gerry Peev should get out a little more!  The comments from the "happy Britons" below the story are a hoot!

The allegedly, crack smoking mayor of Toronto Rob Ford who is doing an excellent job of dodging calls for his resignation has once again had a serious dose of "foot in mouth disease".
The Sky News story has video of him in a drunken rant indicating what he will do to hopefully a fellow politician although the recipient of his anger is not identified by him in the vid.  Its worth watching the video especially the American take on the story - - -

Passwords, we have them for everything now and its not surprising that some people use the same one for "everything".
This short Metro story  reveals that nearly 2 million people have  123456 for their Adobe password!

Nearer to home it seemed that we were not destined to have a catflap which opens only when the cats implanted microchip number has been read.
The device a "Sureflap" cat flap has a reader which unlocks it as the entry window as the cat attempts to push it open.  You need to programme the machine first by pressing a button which scans the cat and records the chip number.  We managed to get one cat done but then the locking device popped open and would not close.
A quick call to the Sureflap people brought a wonderfully quick response with a next day delivery of a replacement.
This has now been fitted and although Sainsbury the tabby is viewing it with some trepidation he has at least used it.  Tom on the other hand doesn't appear to have noticed it yet!
Sainsbury takes it easy in front of the log burner again!

Yesterday I managed to get in a little logging, I walked down to the site because its too wet now to get any vehicles down there.  I normally don't log during the winter but decided this year to give it a go.  Its certainly a little more comfortable than working in the summer heat.
The bit I'm working on is just below the centre of the green field.

Enjoy the day
