A number of newspapers including the Express tear into the PM this morning after his EU deal is branded a joke a couple of snap polls in the article suggest that over 90% of people want to leave the EU while the article has one where you can say "Remain, Leave or Undecided and the current state of that is

Things are no better for the German PM, she faces plummeting popularity as a bill of £36bn is being bandied about regarding care for asylum seekers - - -

BT Braodband & website crash UK wide its not the story here that grabbed my interest it was the pic of the van. I hate these things well not the van really but the fact that wherever you see one of these things cruising to a halt it is guaranteed that a set of emergency traffic lights will appear in seconds. Only yesterday i passed through a set where the 3 "Engineers" were staring down a shaft in the pavement 3 feet from the road and they seemed oblivious of the huge queues at either end of their completely unnecessary temporary lights! - - - ===============================================

with a difference in altitude between the cottage and the logging area of a few hundred metres I should not have been surprised by how cold it was up there yesterday. With a keen wind blowing i instantly regretted having picked baseball cap rather than wooly hat as i stepped from Cyril the van.
the work however soon warmed me up and i managed to remove a portion of the trees from just the other side of the fallen wall. I'm going to have to leave the ones nearest the gate until i have a helper because they are leaning toward the fence and gate, unless i can come up with an idea to stop them falling in that direction

After returning home via the usual openreach set of temporary traffic lights!!!!!!
the cycle path blokes were at last taking down one of the huge trees that over the years has hidden parts of the hillside from our garden view
great stuff! i believe they are set to remove the one directly in line with the right hand chimney stack which will also let us see more of the old view as well
even the fish are delighted lol! I took the pic to highlight all the frogs over wintering in the bottom of our pond
with the mornings efforts complete we popped out for lunch and the view from the car park does not reflect the teeth chattering wind blowing a gale!

WEATHER TODAY
its been snowing for a while but its so wet there is none on the ground at this level (100m) in this current Netweather pic we are on the far right of the shot so with the wind coming from the left it looks as if we might see a fair bit more before it ends.
quite cold at less than 2c this morning thankfully there is little or no wind, I'm not sure about the Bar Tendency showing sunny but it is rising maybe it will be fine once the snow/rain clears
just light enough for the weathercam to pick up the settled snow on top of the valley side. Todays forecast is predicting a bright patch around noon with a max of 7c before clouding over and the Temp dropping to 3c around 18:00
