£15bn pounds has been pledged by the PM for his "Road Revolution" which will speed up journey times. can you sense my disbelief! £15bn is about to be used to tackle 100 "notorious traffic hotspots" in Britain. I don't suppose any of the money will filter down as far as the A6 and my suspension destroying trip to Sainsbugs for "essential supplies". Part of the story relates to building a tunnel under Stonehenge which the "Campaign for better transport" lobby mark up as a "desecration" -- - -
History Beckons according to this BBC article about the attempted landing of the Rosetta probe onto a comet on Wednesday this week. Its gazillions of miles away in space and has taken 10 years to get into a position to attempt a landing. The Wiki on the project explains that the probe is "designed to complete the most detailed study of a comet ever attempted" but i still fail to see the point of it - - -

This sky news story has a fair bit of data to back up its content that we are heading for a "Wetter and Windier Winter" quotes from the National Weather Service (?) and the Met O are suggesting we are in for a blustery time of it at least for the period months Nov to Jan. After that they are not so confident, Methinks we might see a change soon after the Winter Solstice on 21 Dec! - - -
Having fed the ducks which inhabit the Rivers edge in the car park I sauntered into Yeomans outdoor shop only to see it had "Closing down sale!" notices everywhere - - - hey ho - - -
