Ennis takes a stand & unpaid leave? i dont think so

Jessica Ennis is taking a moral stand against Sheffield United where a stand in their ground carries her name.  Its all to do with this footballer Ched Evans  who is a convicted rapist.  Ennis claims she will want her name taken off the stand if Evans is given a contract by the club.  3 patrons of the club have resigned over the affair and a sponsor is also  threatening to withdraw if he is taken back on.  Not condoning what this clown has done i wonder if looking at the "Rehabilitation of offenders act"  i wonder if he will have a claim against loss of earnings if it all go's through! - - -

Cool cat! i dont think so. This story covers the plight of Tigers on the border of India and Bangladesh.  With their habitat being taken over humans its hardly surprising that at times the tigers attack  One bloke in the story tells how he has been attacked 3 times! - - -

Talk about DIY !  The quaint old house in the pic is a new build.  The couple who built it learned all the old fashioned skills and took 2 and a half years to complete the house.  By the looks of things they did a first class job and the house is worth 3 times the price of the land and materials - - -



Its been back to the Fun Factory (Matlock Sainsbugs) for me on another set of shifts.  Same old same old really, almost geared up for Christmas and as usual there are some perplexing things going on?  There have been a rash of newbies starting mainly on the checkouts but still the shop floor colleagues face having to drop what they are doing on their own jobs and man the tills when its busy!
One perplexing thing though is, because of all the newbies the store has too many "hours" so colleagues are being asked to take unpaid leave to compensate for this???? - - -

This morning we had some pretty heavy rain which went on for a couple of hours flooding roads etc.  The afternoon, as forecast was a little brighter and the stats show now the Temp is dropping bit its unlikely to go below freezing.
