Lunatic road rage leaves one man dead & a sign of the times

A down to earth story on the front page of the Express today with the death from a road rage incident of a cyclist after a minor shunt with a car in Sussex - - -
This story  asks the question "Why bother exploring the solar system?" following the "excitement" of the weeks pics from Pluto. The analogy of pitching the exploration against the discoveries by "Cook & Columbus" - - - interesting but convincing? - - -

The Le Tour stage yesterday provided some excitement but few changes in the GC contenders
Todays stage will be worth watching
at 175km and with plenty of places for attacks on the leaders.

=================================================
putting the large bits inside a tyre yesterday then smashing them saves time walking about picking up the bits or re-setting the bit you want to hit but its hard work "tiring even!"
this little lot will be done this morning and then its time to do the one at the top right of the pic

a quick stop for lunch
sitting in the sun, not many people around yesterday it will be packed with walkers today!
In our garden the Fox Gloves in the pic are all but done and the Nasturtiums in the foreground have seen better days, we could do with some rain!
the general look of the garden this morning though is one of "growth", we left the clipping of the bushes until a few days ago so at least they look smart.  Our Laurels can just be seen poking above next doors fence in front of the pergola on the left of the pic.

Sign of the times
I went shopping yesterday for "just a few things".  Having folded "the list" in half" i proceeded only to pick up the items in view completely forgetting the 4 items at the top of the list!
In my defence i was distracted having taken a parcel to a UPS drop off shop earlier and watched a "less than IT competent operator" struggle to register my item in the handset, worrying that it might not be returned to the supplier.
To reinforce my defence i also had to seek out a friend in the shop to drop off a few vouchers and in doing so chat her up for lunch next week - - -
Mmmmm tsk tsk it does look a little like "I protest-eth too much" doesnt it! - - - funny though to arrive home and be questioned as to why so much was "missing" - - - I did remember the booze though! - - -
its warming up nicely after what could only be described as a cool start earlier
Great pic on the weathercam blue sky sun shining - - makes me want to "head for the hills"
i see the usual friends have joined us for breakfast
Enjoy the day
