Le Tour disgrace! & Time to remember some very brave comrades

Obviously a slack news Sunday at the Express as they milk HM's childhood "salute" - - -

Le Tour disgrace!
Chris Froome continues to dominate the Tour with a fine performance yesterday.  The disgrace of the day though happened 50km into the stage when he had a "pot of urine"  thrown in his face by a French "fan" and "doper" was shouted at him at the same time.  Another rider was spat on from the crowd on the same stage - - -
Sunny logging yesterday
 i went up to the logging site to finish off the tree from the previous day having sawn up all the trunk into firewood sized round
the firewood pile just gets larger and longer! the few rounds at this end have huge knots and resisted attempts to smash them into firewood I'll need to cut them down further before smashing them - - -
===========
 Its been raining lightly since around 04:00, not a bad Temp though, i did notice yesterday as i walked down the hill form the farm to the logging site the wind definitely had a bit of a bite to it!
a very cloudy pic form the weathercam with light rain falling at the moment.  Forecasters indicate that the day will brighten as it go's on towards evening

Time to Remember some very brave comrades
On the 19th of July 1972 the tiny seaside town of Mirbat in the province of Dhofar was the site of an epic battle against communist inspired guerillas.  The 9 SAS men assigned to the town played a heroic part in fighting off  the hundreds of the guerillas who were determined to take the town. Many accounts have been written about the action, here is a general one from Wikipedia about The Battle of Mirbat  - - - lest we forget - - -
We are the pilgrims, master, we shall go
Always a little further: it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea ..
