Another Alzheimer breakthrough & I lunch alone

A simple brain scan in a persons  early years can predict Alzheimers in later life according to the text behind the headline in the Express today - - -

The Tour de France had a punishing stage over some stretches of cobbles yesterday and although the predicted crashes did happen no-one withdrew from the race. Tony Martin managed to finish ahead of the peloton and claimed the yellow jersey
Stage 5 today is 189.5km from Arras to Amiens
and passes by a number of international First World War cemeteries, a sprint finish is expected and Cavendish will be out for revenge at being beaten by Greipel on stage 2 - - -

===============================================
A little logging took place yesterday

and the very last group of hawthorn trees had a huge wild rose up in their branches so it was a case of taking it easy carefully pulling out of each tree and putting it on the bonfire pile
with only a thorn in my thumb i finally got them all down and could see the gate on the fenceline in the sunken track
 with the pile getting ever larger, it wont be long before it has to be covered to keep it dry from the Autumn rains and winter weather.
time to turn my attention to this one next

a quick trip up to our normal lunch stop without Sally this time who was lunching with her "big Sister"  and then it was a bit of weeding in the garden before settling down to watch the end of today's stage on Le Tour and a bit of Wimbledon - - -
 not a bad Temp to start the day although it was raining at 05:00
 very cloudy once again on the weathercam and the forecasters are indicating that it could rain almost anytime during the day - - -
A jackdaw has already spotted that i have put out a fat ball this morning - - -
Enjoy the day
