Hey what's that hanging out your nose? & it rains a bit

Not for the squeamish  this one.  A woman has a 3 inch long leach removed from up her nose a month after returning from a trip to the far east.  The lady was not sure where she picked up Mr Curly as she began to call the thing - - -

This is purely an ad to get you to sign up to ancestry.co.uk but its an interesting twist to surnames.  There are 7 types of English Surnames is the title - - - some of us immediately don't fit into any of the categories so lets just agree there must be 8 types then.  In conversation with a bloke who had the same surname as i do he reckoned one of our ancestors helped William The Conqueror off his boat before the Battle of Hastings in 1066.  That would explain my problems with Dupuytren's lumps in my hand because it is considered a Viking problem! - - -

With the Pistorious trial winding up I suppose you agree or don't with what is happening.  Not guilty of murder but guilty of culpable homicide it has been suggested he might not go to prison at all.  He might have to do 2 days a month community service and be under house arrest for 3 years.  I think that the prosecutions phrase regarding what could be his sentence of "shockingly inappropriate" is rather apt - - -

My favourite pic in the bundle is of Pan y Fan at left having been up and down it a "number of times" when I was in the Army.  A friend manages to run up and down it in September each year when one of our old units sponsors an event.  In a rush of blood to the head I agreed to give it a go in 2015 - - - I will not be running though! - - -
A very wet and windy day yesterday left us with nearly half an inch of rain falling

as can be seen from our data over the last 24 hours.  Heavy rain was forecast for the afternoon but the heaviest seemed to be after 21:00 and on into the night

Once again this morning there is lots of cloud around and the wind is set to be a cooling influence coming form the North and West
Another day for a bit of book and stoking up the log burner
