You cant take it with you! or can you? & Its all about the weather

You cant take it with go's the saying, ok that relates to money but this old timer took his Harley Davidson  with him to the grave
Here he is being lowered into his 3 plot grave in a home made casket astride his beloved Harley.

What a send off!
The famous quote by Jools Holland always makes me smile.  He was being interviewed somewhere in the US and was asked what he (a biker) thought about Harley Davidson's his reply was "Nice bike if your a girl"

Across the world in Hong Kong the bird flu strain H7N9 just will not go away

A batch of 20,000 had to be culled after being imported from mainland China where the H7N9 strain jumped the gap between Chickens and Humans early last year.  The story also indicates that 12 people in the province of Zhejing have died in January from the strain.

Different birds in this story met a sticky end
2 doves of peace released into St Pauls Square in Rome were summarily attacked by a seagull and a crow - - -

Obviously a slack day at the Dutch Research institute! as they tell us Central Heating makes you fat
Ok you can see what they are getting at, the fact some people have their heating turned up high stops them moving about to keep warm.  Sounds like a "devil and deep blue sea" situation to me - - -

Keeping dry was the problem yesterday as it rained and rained and rained.  The daily express tell us the storms are going to last until spring

Maybe a more realistic headline would have been "Winter to last until Spring!"  - - -

Meanwhile This story relates how more wet and windy weather as well as high tides on the way
will be "a threat to life"  We do seem to be getting more than our fair share of the rain.  The River Derwent just across the main road from the house seems to be coping with the increased rainfall quite well though.

Closer to home
The introduction of a replacement hard drive for my "Chinese" netbook did nothing to resolve the problem so I might let an expert look at it to see if its worth getting it repaired!

Even with all the doom and gloom about the weather in the story above there's a prediction that tomorrow locally we  might have a bit of a respite from the rain with a few "sunny periods!"
Todays job then is to move all the decking wood I stacked up to dry
away from its present location so that tomorrow we can have a go at preparing the base!

Enjoy the day
