New storm alert & Last shift for a while

Sky news now have a "New Storm Alert: Live Weather Updates" feature for travellers while the Dawlish railway line collapse gets an assessment for the repair
This lot look like the "managers" as none of them seems to be actually doing anything.! lol  The article though covers alternatives to the line which include opening up old routes closed by the Beeching fiasco back in 1968.  The resolution will be interesting - - -

A nice canine Survival story
A gas explosion in Clacton injured 10 people and demolished 2 houses and the dog in the pic was feared dead.
When a Labrador search dog was brought into the area the border collie buried in the debris picked up its scent and started barking.  Happy ending the dog is rescued and the pic is of the point of rescue.

  Closer to home
Yesterday the storms seemed to have abated a little and I noticed for most of the day the wind was coming from the North rather than the South. I managed to take a pic of the garden in some unusual sunshine showing off our new decking/pergola project.
Having heard the River Derwent had been unusually high in Matlock I wandered across the road and the resulting pic doesn't seem to extreme as the level is only around 3ft above normal
I completed my last shift at the fun factory for a while, what with the holiday coming up and having to use up all my holiday entitlement I will not be working again until the 6th of March.
The shift as usual had it "lighter moments" with a lady asking for an item she couldn't even pronounce and being rather indignant when I told her if she couldn't tell me what she wanted I could hardly be of assistance.
The eventual outcome was that we didn't stock the item which it turned out was on a "Sainsbugs recitripe" so she left the store not a happy bunny!  Hey ho !
Enjoy the day
