Where's the snow? & A sunny snowy lunch walk

The Express has its usual health scare or cure with "scare" being in the headline and a suggestion in the text that if we give up smoking drinking and take more exercise we are less likely to get cancer - - - -

great little video of time lapse snow fall in this story which details Londoners "panic" at it snowing in the City.  There's a delightful very short video of a cat jumping into the snow - - -

There's not much of a change in the BBC weatherman's forecast for the next 7 days.
Cold cold cold  for the next few days although the hint in yesterdays blog about the "Metro" Beast from the East story of snow for the whole country is played down by the BBC.  Its then going to be "less cold" as a high pressure area sits over the UK for a little while

yesterdays Round Robin walk was quite a cold one and i spotted this water trough, the trough hadn't  frozen but the water splashing over the edge had a distinctly icy look - - -
The view North towards Bakewell still shows the snow hanging on at higher elevations - - -

we had lunch out yesterday and Sally's pic from the The Grouse car park shows there is still plenty snow around the 1000ft mark
we wandered up towards white edge, in the background a while - - -
before deciding the pub looked a better option, lovely bright day though  - - -
very cold stats but at least there's no wind at present.
still too dark to see much outside on the weathercam but its looking like it might be another clear sky day to start with.

With my weather station guaranteed to lose the data when we are away on holiday soon i finally figured out how to still get a display onto the weather website
I've rigged up a camera to look at one of our displays (that does work but you cant connect it to the website) and get the PC to upload a pic every minute.  When it go's dark i have one of those light sensitive "night lights" which will illuminate the display.  I just need to replace the current temporary pic with the one above.

Back to the Fun Factory (Matlock Sainsbugs) tomorrow, great joy - - -

Enjoy the day
