Its covered on almost all the front pages today.
The weather was kind the crowds were enormous and the coverage of the first stage was perfect on Eurosport.
Unfortunately our man Mark Cavendish took a heavy fall onto his right shoulder as he sprinted for the finish line in Harrogate. Admitting that the crash was his fault his team have said they will make a decision this morning about him taking part in today's stage.
Chai or tea to the uninitiated
here's a great article about India's obsession with their thick sweet version of the brew.
There are some good pics in the article - - - worth a read.
Closer to home
The wind was a gentle breeze when I logged the other day but I still decided to burn the ever growing pile of brashings up at the logging site
The wind dropped as soon as I got it going as can be seen from the smoke hanging around
It soon returned and at this point looked like it might jump the gap between the pile and the trees close by
Just as I was leaving for home though it had all been burned - - - time to stack up some more today!
back in the garden one of the squirrels has given up trying to bite off the bottom of the peanut feeder and has turned his attention to emptying the sunflower feeder!
Enjoy the day
