Hot air balloon fire! & Holiday booking!

Its hard to imagine how scary it must be to be ib a hot air balloon if it

catches fire   3 people were in this one where the basket appears to be on fire in Virginia USA.  The wreckage has yet to be found but it looks as if all on board perished - - -
We used to see lots of these things taking off close by but after a number of accidents the flights popularity seems to have waned - - -

According to the Sky News story they could have a "severe impact" on our honey bee population, as if they aren't having enough problems already!" because they have an appetite for them - - -




The "Vicky & Chris" pantomime

rumbles on with him arguing over the payment of the legal costs of the case.  He's been ordered to pay £77,750 which is oweing since the trial in 2013.  I do hope they charge interest! - - -

 is enjoying our fresh batch of peanuts, We had discovered 2 dead mice in the bottom of the previous bag along with some mould growing on the nuts

The weather report for yesterday was "not encouraging" but a few "blue bits" early on spurred me into action to collect some wood

This stash still has quite a bit left in it but i'm going to start refilling it when i get down to the logging area because i have quite a lot down there which needs moving.

The weather gods really were with us as I return on my second run but the rainbow is just letting us know the weathermen were not completely wrong.

Each load was stacked into the log shed and by the end of the day after 3 trips the job is complete

There was much excitement from Sally as I returned with the 3rd load.  "Kurumba" has the booking calendar stretching into 2015" she exclaimed.

30 minutes later we have the room and flights booked! - - - beans on toast for the rest of the year! - - -
