The wind is howling outside and has been since 4 a.m.  I think its inevitable that we shall see some driving rain before long

A nice set of stats to start the day with the wind well in evidence, it will be interesting to keep an eye on the Temp as its sinks today 

The weathercam shows off the wind with the "seaweed blowing all over the place.  The sky is still clear from overnight but I'm sure it will cloud over soon.

Local weather today 

The day will be windy and rainy to begin with. The rain is expected to turn to snow later and in some places accumulations will form on the higher summits.  Temps will fall below freezing over peaks with a significant wind chill factor.  Big jacket and woolly hat day i reckon

I'm getting over my sojourn just at the moment so I'll leave the explanation a while.  At least I'm home and what with the manky weather I will have time to sit and watch it develop

The main story is of the impending "doom" regarding the weather.  The article inside the paper is the usual snippet cut from Met O warnings and then revved up by the paper.  Suffice it to say, it will be windy rainy maybe snowy and cold
